The venue.

Location

Fair Oak Farm is a country estate located in the High Weald in East Sussex, designated a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are approximately 10 miles from Tunbridge Wells and within an easy drive or train journey from London, with ample parking available.

If you want to share a taxi from the train station with other guests, email us at info@howweelevate.com and we can try to facilitate this.

Boutique accommodation

Accommodation at Fair Oak Farm is spread across a historic grade II listed farmhouse, cosy shepherd’s huts, a charming oast house, luxury treehouses, and a converted barn.

Every room is single occupancy (although sharing is possible for those who request it), and most have their own private bathrooms as well as private living areas and terraces.

Think Egyptian cotton bed-linen, luxurious local bath products and views across the gardens or the farm from every room.

Facilities

The estate boasts acres of private gardens, an apple and plum orchard, firepits, a sauna, a cinema and games barn, cold tubs, yoga studio and lawn, therapy studios, and its own farm.

Weather-permitting, we will try to host as much of the programme outdoors as possible.

Meals will be served in the main barn or outside on the farmhouse terrace with stunning views across the Sussex countryside.

The food.

All meals are included in your package, and our Michelin-trained chefs will be serving up a gourmet multi-course menu of locally-sourced, seasonal delights which cater to all dietary requirements.

Meal-times are often where the strongest friendships are made and stories exchanged and on retreat is no exception.

We’re all about making healthy whole foods taste delicious, finding the optimum macro-nutrient composition for retreat activities, and we also like to send you away with a pack of healthy recipes to try at home!

The investment.

As you’ll see from our programme, this is a fully immersive mind and body experience led by some of the world’s leading experts in the fields of movement, functional medicine, yoga / breath work and personal development.

The total cost of your place depends on your accommodation choice.

The prices for our base package start at just £995 - use the code ‘ENTRY’ at booking.

What can I expect?

  • Our lead movement facilitator, Scott Berry, is one of the most experienced personal trainers in the world.

With a background in biomechanics, formerly the most senior trainer at Virgin Active, and now with a regular gig training the Chelsea FC women’s football team in movement mechanics, Scott has carved out time in his jam-packed schedule to teach busy female lawyers how to bulletproof their bodies against ageing, how to combat 6+ hours per day of desk-based working, and how to become functionally fit through resistance-based training and stability work.

Those of you who select our premium package will receive a detailed one-on-one movement assessment with Scott, where he will identify postural and muscular imbalances and provide you with a bespoke programme of corrective exercises to take home. He is also sometimes able to train clients longer-term from London when his schedule permits.

It’s important to know that Scott’s work can be adapted to any level of fitness. You don’t need to have trained before to enjoy or benefit from his programme; but equally, if you’re someone who takes training seriously, you’ll be joining some of the world’s top athletes on Scott’s client roster.

  • All Elevate. retreats start from the premise that we can only thrive at work when we’re fit and well within ourselves.

But the March Women retreat also has a dedicated development and coaching element to the programme, led by Caitlin Rozario of Interlude, who specialises in the science of sustainable productivity in the workplace.

Caitlin will be deep-diving into the tools and practices we can utilise to enable us to realise our potential and achieve our goals in both our personal and professional lives.

  • Lara has been leading on Elevate.’s functional medicine and nutrition pillar since our programme’s inception after working with our founder Nat to help her heal the myriad auto-immune and marginalised female health conditions that had plagued her youth and early adulthood.

On retreat, Lara presents groundbreaking sessions on the critical importance of blood sugar regulation, how it impacts our body’s stress response, and what steps we can take to both optimise nutrient absorption and regulate our nervous system.

This is less about what you eat (which beyond some simple guidelines, we don’t like to preach about) and more about how you eat, when you eat, and why you eat, and constantly builds on a foundation of body wisdom and aligned choices.

  • Leo is a truly multi-disciplinary facilitator. He heads up yoga at BLOK studios nationwide, and combines his love for ‘moving meditation’ with powerful breath work practices, cold water immersion therapy, deep relaxation sound baths and heart-opening cacao ceremonies.

Leo is taking time out from his year in India writing his yoga teacher training course to facilitate on this retreat and you will likely encounter him on the international wellness festival circuit as well, where he headlines the likes of Soul Circus, Lovetrails, Wellnergy and Stone Cold Sober.

Those selecting our premium package will experience the magic of Leo’s guided ice baths, with pre- and post- breath work as standard.

  • Our schedule is immersive and jam-packed, but we like to build in downtime around mealtimes and curated breaks for guests to connect more deeply or just take time for themselves to let the learnings land.

The estate has its own sauna, farm and orchard to explore, yoga lawn and studio, landscaped grounds to sit and read in, cinema and games barns.

We also put on optional sessions during downtime, such as Nat’s much-loved gratitude journaling session and a guided countryside walk through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

  • No, this retreat has been designed with single occupancy in mind, and all guests will enjoy their own cottage / eco-lodge / shepherd’s hut / converted barn / oast house room / or farmhouse room on retreat. Many rooms also boast private kitchens and luxurious living spaces of their own for you to kick back and relax in.

If you’d like to share a cottage specifically with another guest, email us at info@howweelevate.com and we can arrange this.

  • Yes, absolutely. You’ll be asked about any dietary requirements in advance of your stay so our chefs can curate the most diverse, flavour-full menu possible.

We want to stress that we are NOT one of the typical retreat brands who want to preach to you about diet or restrict you during mealtimes. While we’re all about healthy, well-balanced meals (that optimise for blood sugar and energy in particular), we’re equally focused on flavour and culinary design, and we can promise you an array of chef-prepared feasts to delight the senses during your stay with us.

All your food and drink is included in your package (whether entry or premium), from your arrival snacks on day 1 to breakfast on day 3.

    Analisa, September 2023

  • "There has been such a broad range of activities for us to try this weekend, but so carefully balanced and curated. Nat is the most incredible retreat organiser - she brings a personal touch to everything. And the facilitators were just incredible. I've learned so much about how to align personal values and goals, new yoga poses, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone trying cold water for the first time. This has been so wonderful"
